Get a Library Card

City Residents:

City residents get a card without cost because they have paid taxes for library service.

Cards are issued to adults aged 18 and older.  Adults must apply for cards for children.

To get a card you will need:

  • Photo ID
  • Proof of residence: example, PUD Bill or any piece of offical mail that shows the residential address
  • Mailing address: example P. O. Box or street address

County Residents:

The Cowltiz County Commissioners do not fund library service.
Cowlitz County residents are required by Washington State Law to pay a fee for library service.
County residents may purchas a family card for a yearly fee.  This fee enables everyone living at the same residence to get a library card.

Current fee for a 2014 library card is $30.00 per year.
